The Images of America: A History of American Life in Images and Texts interface gives users access to page images of each page of each book. From a browse table or a search results page, clicking on the title of a work will take you to the cover with citation information and the table of contents of the book. From there, you can click the "show metadata" link to see all terms for which the book is indexed, or you can click on a link for a particular chapter or section of the book. Clicking on the link to a chapter will take you a thumbnail view of all of the pages within the book. The pages from the selected chapter will appear with a border. Selecting any thumbnail will open up that page in a separate image viewer window, where you can zoom in or rotate the image. Close the window to return to the thumbnail view.
